Problem
We start with one high-impact process where friction is measurable.

FOR COMPANIES
SerialLabs helps established companies turn operational friction, fragmented data and repeated work into measurable improvement.
Explore systems we can build
We start with one high-impact process where friction is measurable.

We define how a bounded Proof of Value will be measured before it is built.

We operationalise the solution as a repeatable, governed system.

HOW WE START
The AI Opportunity Sprint is a 2–3 week engagement to frame one recurring process, separate evidence from assumptions and decide whether a Proof of Value is justified.
A focused first engagement around one recurring operational process.
A PoV is scoped after the Sprint. Its duration is not fixed in advance.
WHO SHOULD BRING THE FIRST PROCESS?
You need a bounded way to establish what is happening and what intervention is worth testing.
You need to know what evidence will justify more investment before the commitment becomes larger.
WHY SERIALLABS
Your team may already know how to identify opportunities. SerialLabs adds the focused cross-functional capacity to connect existing systems, build the operational loop and measure what changes—under one accountable delivery team.
THE BUSINESS ALREADY CONTAINS THE OPPORTUNITY
The first valuable AI opportunity rarely arrives as a technology brief. It appears as a repeated task, a slow handoff, a delayed decision or a report that arrives after the moment to act.
A customer problem that keeps returning, with ownership spread across people and tools.
We identify where data, automation or AI can produce a meaningful result without another open-ended transformation programme.
THE SERIAL SYSTEM
Find the signal inside operational friction, repeated demand or emerging traction.
Separate observed facts, informed hypotheses and what is still unknown.
Create the smallest working intervention capable of producing useful evidence.
Measure the result against an explicit baseline and a useful business decision.
Strengthen the architecture, adoption, operating model and route to market.
Standardise only when the problem repeats and distribution is credible.
Recognise early. Build right. Create what lasts.
HOW WE DECIDE
FOUNDER-LED · BUILT IN-HOUSE
SerialLabs is led by Vitor Magalhaes and Francisco Freitas. Every engagement is delivered by an in-house team with direct founder involvement.
Meet the founders

BEFORE WE START
The commercial, ownership and governance boundaries are agreed in writing for the engagement. These answers explain the operating principles behind them.
For a limited number of selected founding partners, SerialLabs sponsors the first 2–3 week AI Opportunity Sprint around one bounded operational process. The agreed Sprint fee is not charged later if either party decides not to proceed.
We look for one recurring process with an accountable owner, accessible representative data, a workable baseline and a potential Proof of Value that can support a meaningful business decision. The qualification criteria are agreed in writing before work begins.
SerialLabs and the company review the evidence together. If either party concludes that the opportunity should not proceed, no Sprint fee is due and we document the reasoning behind the decision.
If both parties agree that a Proof of Value is justified, its scope, success criteria and commercial terms are agreed in a separate paid contract. The company is not obliged to commission it because the Sprint was sponsored.
Our default position is that the client retains its data, processes and pre-existing materials, and owns the client-specific deliverables and bespoke development it pays for. SerialLabs retains its pre-existing methods, tools and generic reusable components; when these are embedded, the client receives the rights needed to use, operate and maintain the deliverable. Exceptions and third-party rights are defined in the signed engagement terms before work begins.
For each engagement, we document the data roles and boundary, authorised access, models and providers, retention and exit or deletion arrangements before relevant data flows. A data processing agreement, transfer safeguards and an EU AI Act assessment are included where applicable to that system.
The work is delivered by the in-house SerialLabs team with direct founder involvement. After the observation period, the evidence supports one of three decisions: scale, adapt or stop.
START WITH THE WORK, NOT THE TECHNOLOGY
Bring us one process that creates repeated effort, fragmented information or delayed decisions. We will help determine what should be built first.
ONE COMPANY · THREE PATHS
SerialLabs works across company systems, products we own and emerging products built by independent makers. Each path starts from something real and earns its next commitment.
We turn operational friction, fragmented data and repeated work into bounded, measurable systems.
Explore company systemsWhen a problem and its demand repeat, we develop products of our own—and only then consider the logic of a venture.
